Monthly Index of Medical Specialities, MIMS Ireland is designed as a drug information guide for medical practitioners. The publication, which is updated monthly, provides a list of prescription drugs available in Ireland as well as a variety of over-the-counter preparations, diagnostics and nutritional products. Each product monograph lists details in terms of indicated use, dosage, contraindications, special warnings, drug interactions and adverse reactions, providing invaluable information for the doctor. In addition each monograph also lists the trade price of the drug, indicates whether it is reimbursed by the General Medical Scheme, as well as a categorisation in terms of its usage in Sport.
MIMS Ireland is supplied free of charge each month to all general practitioners in active practice and every second month to consultants and non-consultant hospital doctors.
